Few NFL defensive players have put up the sheer numbers on the field that Atlanta Falcons’ veteran defensive end Calais Campbell has since entering the league in 2008. The 36-year-old lineman has made the NFL All-Pro list three times while making the Pro Bowl a half-dozen times, thanks to his 99.0 sacks, 16 forced fumbles, and 809 tackles in the league. The one thing that Campbell has yet to achieve in the league is winning a Super Bowl title, having played in 15 playoff games without winning it all.

Where Falcons’ Campbell Ranks Leaguewide

Overall, Campbell’s 79.20 Hall of Fame rating is the fifth highest of any NFL player over the age of 30 without a Super Bowl ring. Leaguewide, Campbell ranked behind Patrick Peterson of the Pittsburgh Steelers (84.80 HOF rating) and ahead of Cameron Jordan of the New Orleans Saints (77.60 HOF rating) and Tyron Smith of the Dallas Cowboys (73.15 HOF rating). The top three HOF-worthy players without titles over the age of 30 were free agent wideout Julio Jones (107.77 HOF rating), L.A. Chargers outside linebacker Khalil Mack (89.85 HOF rating) and Dallas Cowboys offensive guard Zack Martin (88.68 HOF rating).  

As for the year ahead, Campbell and the Falcons Super Bowl odds are listed on BetMGM Sportsbook at +4000. They find themselves in a tie with the Broncos, Raiders, and Saints for 15th leaguewide. The future Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee kicks off his next NFL season on Sept. 10, when he and the Falcons host the Carolina Panthers at Mercedes Benz Stadium at 1 p.m. Eastern time in their regular season opener.
