What Is The Atlanta Braves’ Best Day Of The Week?
Fact Checked by Nate Hamilton

It’s been a banner decade for the Atlanta Braves, with the first World Series title in 26 years in 2021 and six straight trips to the postseason in total, though certain days of the week have been better than others for Georgia’s MLB franchise.

A year ago, the Braves rode an above-.500 record in all but one day of the week (Sunday) to finish the year with 105 wins, posting the club’s best year-end total since going 106-56 in 1998.

This season, Atlanta has the second-best title odds of any team on FanDuel Sportsbook, at +550 (behind the Los Angeles Dodgers, at +350) and a preseason win total over/under of 100.5 on the national sportsbook.

Before the franchise can toss the first pitch of the 2024 MLB regular season, however, BetGeorgia - your source for Georgia sports betting news and updates - took a trip down memory lane to see how Atlanta fared on given days of the week in 2023.

What’s The Braves Best Day of the Week?

The top day for the Braves in 2023 was Thursday, when Atlanta posted a 12-2 (.857) record, beating out two other days that had win percentages of .700 or higher, in Tuesday (17-7/.708) and Wednesday (19-6/.760).

Conversely, the Braves’ worst day of the week last season was Sunday, when the franchise went 12-15 (.444), with the final day of the week being the only one that had a .500 or worse record in 2023.

In between, Monday (11-9/.550), Friday (16-10/.654) and Saturday (16-10/.654) were the days where Atlanta had some measure of success but not at the polar extremes like the others.

This year, Atlanta opens the regular season on a Thursday, with a 2:05 p.m. matinee against the Philadelphia Phillies on the road in the first contest of a three-game series.

The Braves home opener comes on Friday, April 5, when Atlanta hosts the 2023 NL champion Arizona Diamondbacks at 6:20 p.m. local time, as the defending NL East champs look to continue their winning ways on the final day of the work week in early April.
